2024 年的巴黎奧運完美結束，這不僅是全球體育愛好者的盛宴，也是法國巴黎第三次主辦奧運會喔！

今天的電子報帶大家了解一些奧運會相關的實用單字、片語，有些是平常比較少見到但卻非常適合用在文章撰寫裡面，準備好你的筆和紙記下來吧！

 

– Track and Field 田徑 (n.)
造句: Track and field events are some of the most exciting to watch in the Olympics.
田徑比賽是奧運會中最令人激動的項目之一。

– Toe to Toe 旗鼓相當、針鋒相對 (phr.)
造句: The two boxers went toe to toe in a thrilling match that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.
兩位拳擊手在比賽中旗鼓相當，讓觀眾們緊張不已。

*on the edge of the seat -> 非常緊張、刺激，讓人忍不住全神關注

 

– Under the Wire 最後一刻 (phr.)
造句: The runner crossed the finish line under the
wire, securing a bronze medal for her country.
這位跑者在最後一刻衝過終點線，為她的國家贏得了一枚銅牌。

– On the Podium 登上頒獎台 (phr.)
造句: She dreamed of standing on the podium with a gold medal around her neck, and her hard work made it a reality.
她夢想著能夠站上頒獎台，頸掛金牌，而她的努力讓這個夢想成真了。

– Break the Record 打破紀錄 (phr.)

*特別留意這邊的record是名詞，重音要擺對位置喔！

– Go for Gold 力爭金牌 (phr.)

每位奧運選手都為了爭奪金牌而來，將自己推向極限。
